Tom has been dropping small hints here and there regarding a possible TV deal The Channel is struck to help bridge the gap between webovision and television. Well guess what? We have a whole bunch of details for your inquiring minds as the cat, more or less, his finally been let out of the bag. Here are some of the key points.

  • The Channel is partnering with Debmar-Mercury to make the show available to stations in January 2008.
  • The plan is to roll out the show on a handful of stations, mainly in late-night time slots, and then try to grow its footprint.
  • There will now be commercial breaks. Just like you see on TV.
  • Expansion of staff. Team of writers and editors.
  • No plans to change the set, though there’s the possibility of adding room for a small 10-person audience.
